The internet has changed a lot of aspects in the lives of people from
all walks of life.Being in the 21st century,almost everything is made
possible through the internet like communication, research,shopping and
many other things.Among all these fields of human interest,business is
one field that has changed dramatically with the use of the internet.
Facebook is arguably the most powerful social media and social
networking site out there.We use facebook to keep in touch with our
family,friends,work colleagues and the most important is to meet new
people on facebook. Facebook is one of the largest site in the world
where we are not only allowed,but also encouraged to connect with
everyone.It also gives us opportunity to maintain a good and healthy
relationship with others.
After noticing all the above aspects of internet and facebook usage,my
mind just clicked an idea that why not i start my own online business .I
just started thinking about my topic,that on which topic people get
attracted towards my page.After 2 days of continuous efforts i got my
topic and name.Then,i created a Facebook page named as "SF-CREATIONS",my first online facebook page.My page theme is all about "HANDMADE HOME DECORATION PIECES"so,I
focused on home decor creations.I just made handmade some pieces for
the decoration of house or any hall like wood slices,candle
sets,keychains stand.I set mainly "females" as my target audience
because females are more concerned about their home decoration than
males.I started posting pictures of my handmade creations on my facebook
page to let the people know about my creations,and then further for
purchase.Initially,i was so confused about my page handling because,it
was my very first experience to run a online business page,like i didn't
know how could i interact with people but gradually i came to know all
the features and options of the page,and then i allow my audience to
book order on message or they can message me for their orders.I also
invite some of my facebook friends that if they like my page they will
further recommend others to do shopping from my page which is good for
me to interact other peoples.In a week,my page crossed 1000 likes that
meant alot for me beacuse,it meant yes!i am doing good job and i am
pretty much successful in interacting with people.In a month i got 1
order and about 1500 likes that really motivated me that i can do an
online business successfully.
For me,it was such a great experience to do an online business
because,by doing this one can build good relation with public and it
also gives chance to know more about your audience that is something
good for me that first know people's interests and then serve them with
my homemade creations.
